Whether you’re first time parents or getting ready to welcome yet another little pickle into your lives, there really is nothing like that special time when all your mind can do is wonder; what will they look like?, who will they grow up to be?, I can’t wait to hold them, how will I nurture them? As a Mama your body goes through so much and it is truly a glorious thing. To grow life inside of you, they become part of you and the bond you form from that first flutter in your tummy is one like no other you will ever experience in your life.

My maternity shoots are truly about celebrating the miraculousness of the mother, the amazing strength of her, the way her body has beautifully evolved to support the growth of life. To show the connection between mother and baby that is shared way before they emerge into the world. Partners play a very important role of support, love and compassion for the mother. Capturing the look of admiration for her and the magic that is shared between two people having made a person together is truly glorious.

A secluded spot away from the crowds with beautiful landscape whether that be a beach at golden hour or the depths of a forest or even a space that means something special to you. I will gently guide you through our shoot but also just let you be, to connect with the moment and find stillness and calm, feeling baby move within you.

For the Mamas

60-90 minutes shoot time

All of my work is focused on capturing beautifully natural images. The shoot can include just Mama or partners too. It will be all about you, creating a sense of calm and connection during this special time awaiting your new arrival. A secluded spot is best, at the beach or in a forest or even a place that means something to you personally.
For the mamas, I have a few gorgeous Free People dresses in my client closet which you are more than welcome to borrow for the shoot, just ask me when booking. Think flowing, bohemian, etherial dresses that drape over your bump and most importantly are super comfy!
A neutral palette I find is best to blend in with nature but as long as everyone is comfortable (especially the Mama-to-be!) that is definitely the most important thing - oh and comfy shoes are a must! I will often get you to remove shoes at the location but there will often be walking involved. Keep accessories to a minimum if possible.
I will head home and load all your images onto my laptop, the most exciting part!
I will then edit and retouch each chosen image individually to a high resolution.
A ‘sneak peak’ will be posted on my social media accounts.
You will receive your final gallery of images (minimum 20) to your email inbox within 2 weeks.
Living in the UK, rain is always a possibility. I’m happy to shoot still if you are as long as it isn’t a storm or unsafe to. If you’d rather postpone then that’s fine with me. If extreme weather is forecast then I will be in touch with you prior to our shoot.
I cover all of Devon for maternity and family shoots.
